2018 #49: 2018 SAN DIEGO TRIP DAY 1 (LONG POST)

   After five months, I finally had the chance to sit down and write about my friends and I summer trip to San Diego. It took me awhile to gather all the pictures we had from that trip. I even ask some of my friends to share all the pictures from their camera phones in our little group chat on fb. 

Let's just say that sharing is caring to someone's blog okay? Lol

Nevertheless, I will share some amazing and cool pictures we took from our trip. 

Let's get started!

Just arrived at the San Diego Airport!

Actually this is the first time I get to travel with Carol and RV in my entire life. #friendshipgoals

Woat woat! We finally here in San Diego ✈

Waited for Rv and Hannah to join us as we wait for Celine to pick us up at the airport as well.

FIRST NIGHT AT CELINE'S HOUSE!

Basically the talk about going to San Diego started when Celine went on a short trip to San Fran, we spend some quality time with her right before she comes back to SD that day. She suggested that we should pay her a visit someday and she will be glad to tour us around the city. The original plan was only carol and I are going to San Diego, but after convincing Rv and Hannah to go with us; it became a friendship summer trip goal. 

Meeting Santiago (Cat's name) for the first time!




Day 1 : 1st Destination: San Diego's Old town

Actually we had a setback on our schedule that morning.

So here is the back story.. 

Celine had to go to work early in the morning the following since she is a teacher and she cannot really miss a day at school now. So the four of us booked a car to rent days before our trip. By the time we had thr chance to talk to the car rental agent, I suddenly realized that I forgot my driver's license one of the pocket of my backpack that I left at Celine's house. So we had to get a lyft driver to drop us off to go to Celine's work place and borrowed her house keys, just to go back to her house to get my DL.

 Then by the time we solved my little miss forgetness moments, Carol suddenly realized she lost her messenger bag and she does not know where might have lost it.

So we needed to retrace back once again and go back to all the two location we went to; Celine's work place and Celine's house.

As we went back to Celine's work place, we decided not to worry and not waste our time to look for her bag. She was confident she left the bag at Celine's house that morning.

By the time we got to our first location, we were really hungry.
😋😋😋😋

 No sleep + Wake up early + Two mishaps = delay on schedule time to eat some breakfast. So we were really cranky hungry.

As we parked the rented car, we saw this cute little breakfast cafe across the street on the parking lot of the SD old town and  we all agreed we needed to eat first before we explore the old town festival

I got the Strawberry Fresca Ice Cream Flavor! 🍦

We bought some faux flower headbands 🌸🌸🌸

2nd destination: La Jolla Beach 

After all the walking in the San Diego's Old town Festival, we headed on to our second location which is La Jolla beach.

We found our first Mural in San Diego! 

3RD Destination : Torrey Pines Park

As for our third Destination of the day, we went to Torrey Pines State Natural Reserve to see some stunning overlooking view of San Diego. I honestly did not expect that we will do some hiking that day. I was not dress to do some walking in a trail. I was doubting myself if I am capable of walking in the trail wearing a t-shirt dress. 

But we actually made it to the top!

I can honestly admit that I have Acrophobia (fear of heights). I had to hold on to the rock just in case anything happened to me. #doitforthegram 

4th Destination : Dinner with Jean 

After a long day of being out and about, it was time for us to have some dinner and meet up with Jean for the first time in San Diego. I think we skip lunch time because we started our day a little bit later than we expected and we ate really big breakfast that day. 

🍴 Time for Boddle Fight! Let's Eat!!! I am hungry!! 

And guess what?? We went for Donut afterwards! Yazzz! 🍩

Thank you Jean for making time to see us crazy Bay Area people and paying for our dinner! 

Overall I can honestly say that our full day one outing was a little bit bumpy in the beginning.
We started our day, going back and forth to the car rental place, Celine's house and Celine's work place in the morning. However after all of the fiasco we had to deal with, our visit to the San Diego Old town turned out to be great. We had so much fun exploring and enjoyed our time over viewing La Jolla Beach and hiking Torrey Pines Park as well. 

Not bad for the four of us surviving our first day in SD.
