2019 #52: ANNIVERSARY TRIP TO SEATTLE, WA (DAY 1 AND DAY 2 ) LONG POST!

Its been over a month since my hubby bear and I took our trip to Seattle, WA for our wedding anniversary trip.

Our 5 days and 4 nights in Seattle.

UPON OUR ARRIVAL...

Once we landed, got our rental car and check-in to our hotel room, we decided to head out to our first food trip that day. We were supposed to go to the famous Cuban sandwich shop, unfortunately, they were closed on the day we arrived in Seattle. So we had to change plans and find another alternative food to eat. Our lunch became our late lunch/early dinner. We looked around yelp to find some interesting and top-rated restaurants near our hotel. We found this AYCE Korean BBQ that seems to have some good reviews on yelp.

[ My thoughts: My expectations were matched. The food was excellent and the service was pleasant. My favorite item on what we ate that night was the kimchi side dish. Usually, I am not the type of person who will love kimchi right away when we eat Korean BBQ however, the kimchi was exceptional that day. I love how it's not too spicy and not too sour neither. I ate three rounds of kimchi with the beef brisket. ]

After we came back from our early dinner, we rested up for almost 2 hours before we went to the swimming pool area of the hotel we stayed in.

My hubby bear is so excited to use the new goggles that he bought just for this trip. He bought a pair of goggles for us.

Even though our day 1 in Seattle was short, we were content that we made it to our destination and ate good mood food and had the chance to relax at the swimming pool area.

Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple |  Seattle Aquarium |  Seattle Great Wheel | Seattle Chinatown-International District | Starbuck Reserved

1st destination: Ling Shen Ching Tze Temple

Our first destination on our day 2 of our Seattle trip was at my hubby bear's temple. He always wanted me to bring me there and see it for myself how beautiful their temple is.

2nd destination: Seattle Aquarium

3rd destination: Seattle Great Wheel

This 3rd destination was not part of our activities that day. As soon as we exit the Seattle Aquarium, we saw the Great Wheel. At first, we were hesitating if we should go and try it.

Obviously, I am not a big fan of heights. I may not show that I am scared but I am usually having a lot of anxiety towards being in high places. However, it took me a lot of encouragement and mental preparedness on what to expect from being inside the ride. Just do not move at all.

After our ride to the Great Wheel, both of us were so happy about being in the ground again. Yeahhh we did it!

4th destination: Seattle Chinatown-International District

We walked our the Chinatown of Seattle. It was a bit smaller than we have in the Bay Area was it was pleasant and we felt like we just blend in with the locals there.

I will do an in-depth review of this restaurant on a future blog post. Let's just say that the hype did not expect my expectations.

5th destination (last): Starbuck Reserved

Our first two days in Seattle were really pleasant except for the price of parking. The price of parking in Seattle really shook me, I would never think that I need to pay tax for the parking as well.

Our experience inside the Starbuck reserve was a little bewilderment about the process of ordering and the items that they were selling for their merchandise section. We only had the chance to see them at the end of the process of roasting the beans.

As we move to the far right end section of the store, we saw some savory pastries and premium pizza. I immediately told my hubby bear we should get the mushroom pizza to try when we get back to our hotel that night. However, on our way back the pizza did not reach our destination. I ended up trying during our trip back to the hotel and gave some bite to eat to my hubby bear to try as well. And as of result, the pizza was having its own journey to our tummies. ^^

Well, that's all for now...

Ps: I am a little bit occupied with the upcoming holiday season at work since we are getting more holiday season items like the panettones and marzipan cookies. And I have been hunting for discounted Christmas decorations already. I want to be more prepared this year before December starts.

HASTA LA PASTA!

Until next time,
