🌴 Final Boss Trip of the Year: Hawaii Edition
We’ve reached the grand finale of our travel plans for the year—and we’re going out with a splash (literally). After months of plotting, budgeting, and refreshing flight deals like it’s a sport, we’re finally heading to Hawaii to celebrate 10 years together and our 7-year wedding anniversary. This time, we’re bringing our toddler along for the ride… because what’s a romantic getaway without snack negotiations and emergency diaper changes?
We booked everything early—flights, hotel, and dreams of poke bowls—before prices could hit “are you serious?” levels. Now we’re equal parts excited and mildly terrified. Our toddler has conquered short flights to Vegas like a champ, but this five-hour journey? That’s a whole new boss level. We’re mentally preparing for turbulence, tantrums, and the occasional “I dropped my toy under the seat again” crisis.
Still, we’re hopeful. Hopeful that the flight won’t turn into a live-action episode of Survivor: Airplane Edition. Hopeful that we’ll make beautiful memories. And mostly hopeful that we’ll get at least one beach photo where everyone’s eyes are open.
My personal mission? Devour fresh poke like it’s my job, hoard Hawaiian cookies like a local, and bask on the beach without turning into a roasted coconut. SPF 100, don’t fail me now.
Here’s to love, laughter, and the kind of family chaos that makes the best stories. Hawaii, we’re coming for you—with snacks, sunscreen, and a stroller that may or may not survive the trip. 🌺✈️👶
