WHAT CAN I SAY ABOUT THE YEAR OF 2018?
2018 is the year of full of possibilities. I had some goals that I have accomplished this year and some goals that I simply have forgotten.
Shall we take a look back on what happened to me this year?!?

♥ At the beginning of the year, my chinitobear join us (RV, Carol and I) for our annual new year's sunrise chasing this year. I was surprised he wanted to be part of it because he's the type of person who will not wake up early just to see the sunrise. But with a little bit of convincing, he realized and said this to me that he wanted to go with us because it's the new year and we should greet the new year with a good morning. When he said that, I was like yes that's the purpose of this sunrise chasing.
♥ Then after a few weeks later, I got the cold. I suffered most from my allergy sinus and catching a cold at the same time. Two illnesses at once? Fun times! (sarcastic tone) I spend my sick days watching new Korean drama's and my new love for Seventeen (K-pop boy band group) I discovered my new found obsession in my life this year.
♥ Even though I was still feeling a little bit under the weather towards the end of January, I went for the first time to a comedy show starting Jo Koy (the comedian) with my chinitobear. He was so hilarious that I was crying tears of laughter of all his jokes. I kept on laughing and laughing after one joke to another joke. He has those borderline stereotype jokes but at the same time, everything he said was true.

♥ As for February, well it was vacation time for my chinito bear and I. We planned our trip four months in advance because we knew this will be our main vacation trip this year. A week before the big trip, my chinitobear surprised me with the pair of tickets to go to the Colorfactory Museum. This is one of the first interactive Museum we went this year. I was so ecstatic to finally go inside the Color Factory and see what is it all about.
♥ And then we celebrated the Chinese New Year ( Lunar New Year) at my hubby bear's fambam house. I also met some of his extended family from Panama and they stayed here for a couple of days and we had the chance to tour them around the city.
♥ Days before my birthday, my hubby bear and I updated some of our camera gear. I got myself two new lenses for my camera and my hubby bear got a new GoPro camera to use for our upcoming trip.
♥ Then finally my chinitobear and I went to Hawaii for our long-awaited vacation on the island of Oahu. It was our first plane trip together and travel outside the state of California. To be honest the trip was really fun and tiring at the same time. We went to all the tourist spots since it's our first time going to Hawaii. We went to the Polynesian Cultural Center and it was breathtaking experience and we were so in love with Hawaii that we are definitely coming back with the fam bam.

♥ At the beginning of March, it was my little brother in-law's birthday and we went out for some yumcha in Koi Palace in Dublin and after eating lunch, we went to the Premium Outlet for some shopping. After a long day of shopping, we went to 85 degrees for the first time and I was in love with their different kinds of breads especially the squid ink bread.
♥ Then for quite some time, one of my girlfriend who we lost in touch for a while, reach out to us and finally had the chance to hangout. We went to the newly opened Marugame Udon in Stonetown Mall. We waited for almost 45 mins just to get inside the restaurant because it was packed and I guess people want to know what is the hype around the Udon place.

♥ Towards the end of the month, My friends and I had some unresolved friendship issues that we needed to address to each other. So we resolve all our differences with the unexpected Korean bbq gathering at my house. We spend some quality time and talked about our upcoming trip in May.
[ A P R I L ]
♥ It was Carol's birthday month, so all the girls gather around and have some all you can eat Korean BBQ at the newly opened Ogane in Oakland Downtown area.
♥ Then my hubbybear and I went to the annual Cherry Blossom Festival day in Japantown. Although the weather was so nice this year and last year the weather was pouring rain, but we did not enjoy it as much as we did last year. I do not know maybe because it is too crowded or whatnot I just could not wait to get it over with. We had to line up for almost 15mins just to get our food. However, we purchased some corgi decal stickers to display in my car and other merchandise they were selling in each booth.
♥ Unlike the Cherry Blossom Festival in SF, my chinitobear surprised me with a couple of tickets to go see the Lantern Light Festival in Vallejo. We went all the way to Vallejo to check out all the amazing Latern lights they have set up. I was so impressed by all the dazzling lights and all the themes that they had presented.

♥My closest friends and I finally had the chance to travel outside the Bay Area. We went to San Diego for a couple of days as our mini vacay of the year. We did a lot of first times and our friendship was kinda put to the test. I think after this trip we come to learn each other's personality when it comes to traveling and how we maintain our friendship throughout the years we have known each other.
♥ The month of May was also my hubbybear's birthday month. I treated him to a new trending breakfast spot called "Morning Wood". they served Hawaiian Breakfast which both of us loved and then we watched a movie in the afternoon then ate Japanese Ramen for dinner with his brothers.
♥ Then towards the end of May, My boss treated us out for a mid-summer work party at the CO-OP place where drinks and playing arcade games are included.
[ J U N E ]
♥ I have been requesting, actually more like reminding my hubbybear that we never been to a Conveyor Belt Sushi Restaurant before and I really want to experience that with him. And he finally listened to me and set up a day date with me all the way to Cupertino. I was so happy I get to try all the different kinds of sushi they have to offer and I fell in-love with toro (fatty tuna) sushi for the first time.
♥ Then around mid-June, My closest friends and I celebrated the June Birthday Babies to another All-you-can-eat Korean Bbq Restaurant in Oakland. We went to our favorite spot in Oakland called "Gogi Time". It was becoming a habit of us to celebrate all the birthday celebrants for that month in one special dinner get together because of all our busy schedules.
♥ On the following week, I was so thrilled when my chinito bear surprised me with a brand new pair of tickets to visit and experience inside the Museum of Ice Cream. We had so much fun on our first interactive Museum at the beginning of the year with Color Factory, we wanted to do it again with a different type of Museum. MOICS was always sold with tickets, so we got lucky when we saw they still have some tickets available to be purchased. Overall, the experience inside MOICS was awesome, the employees really have a bubbly personality and they explain everything really well. I loved all the pink walls and pink decorations they had inside. You guys should know by now I am addicted to the color pink.

♥ Then in August, I was sick again. This is my second time being sick this year. I felt like my medication are not really helping me with my sinus problem. I think it's time for me to change my doctor because I am not getting better with all the medication they have given to me. Nobody likes to feel being sick all the time especially me who works too much.
♥ So this year we celebrated big Brother in-law's big 30 something birthday at my chinitobear's house and we finally met his new girlfriend. I must say I am not good at meeting new people especially when it comes to people who get into a new relationship and you met the previous gf or bf of them. I was so nervous meeting her that day because I needed to watch what I say in front of her.
♥ As you guys know I got married in September and the month of August was really busy for me with all the wedding preparation we needed to do before the wedding day. Picking the wedding rings together, putting down the down-payment for the wedding reception Restaurant, buying my two wedding dresses, and doing all the small details on the main wedding reception table. Thank god, I had some awesome people to help me with all the decorations, and planning of it.
♥ It's another year to celebrate Marc's Birthday! This year we decided to go to an All You Can Eat Hot Pot Restaurant instead of a Korean BBQ. It was nice seeing old co-workers and Marc's siblings. After eating we went out to go to our favorite Karaoke place in Japantown SF.

♥ We went to our final interactive Museum this year. We went to Candytopia after we registered our marriage license a week before our actual wedding day. I am so blessed to experience all this wonderful interactive Museum with my chinitobear this year.
♥ Then days before my upcoming wedding, I gather all my closest girlfriend to have afternoon high-end tea party in D-town SF and then after that my hubby bear surprised me with a proper proposal with all of my closest friends.
♥ And then on September 25, the life-changing event in my life that will change my life forever happened, my chinitobear and I finally tied the knot on the city hall of San Francisco. I married the love of my life. I could not be happier to marry him this year.
♥ On the next day of our wedding, we decided to go on a mini-honeymoon trip to Santa Cruz. Being married still feels so surreal. It was a short trip, but we had fun and we made us the 2 nights and 3 days best out of it. I personally did not want to come back home yet, however, we had to go back to our reality and maybe if we have more time to go for a leisure trip we will definitely do this again.
[ O C T O B E R ]
♥ After my mini-honeymoon trip with my hubby bear, the month of October was basically our moving-in together process month because I had to slowly move some of my stuff to my hubbybear's house. We bought some new furniture together at Ikea and built a new clothing rack as well.
♥ Like what we did on June babies' celebration, my friends and I decided to celebrate all the October babies' birthday in one day. This is the second time we have done this kind of event this year instead of individual birthday parties to attend and basically to spend money on food too. We had a traditional Filipino Style lunch party called "Boodle Fight". If you guys are not familiar with this term, it is basically a dinner with a large group of people and instead of eating with utensils, you eat with your hands. The food is placed on top of a long banana leaf-lined trestle table and in the true military practice, diners do not sit in chairs but instead stand shoulder to shoulder in a line on both sides of the table.
♥ Every year my workplace throws a Harvest Festival and a Halloween Costume Contest and of course, I needed to dress-up to be one of the candidates. My costume was an officer woman, ready to arrest people who dare to steal in front of me.
♥ It's been a month since I. got married. My hubby bear and I celebrated our 1st month together as a married couple at Liholiho Yacht Club. It was our first time going to Liholiho and they have a unique menu that you guys should check it out. I warned you it can be expensive to go to Liholiho.

♥ Then at the beginning of November, I started my second job! Yes, after a year of working only one job, I decided to get another job and be more productive with my life. Plus the additional salary will help me to be more financially stable for near-future goals.
♥ Following that week, I had the chance to met some of my hubbybear's co-worker and on the weekend, I met some of his old high school friends in the park for some barbeque burgers and hotdogs.

♥ On December 1st, we celebrated Angelo's 1st Birthday Party. Every big event of his life is a mandatory attendance because he's the firstborn baby of all of my high school friends. His birthday is like a mini-reunion for all of us as well since we have not seen some of our friends in high school for a while now.
♥ After Angelo's birthday, I became iller and I immediately lost my voice. The next day we made a doctor's appointment and I was told not to speak and stress my voice. I was out of work for 5 days straight and I was bored as hell at the house. Luckily I catch up with all my latest Korean Dramas and finish one of the series I was watching while I was stuck inside the house doing absolutely nothing. It was my third time getting sick this year. I am hoping next year I will be healthier so I could not get sick easily again.
♥ After a few weeks of being sick, I was able to recover and had the chance to decorate the house with some holiday items that we recently bought. We got more new ornaments, DIY mini Gingerbread House, Christmas lights hanging on our window, budget-friendly stuffing socking for the whole family and mini desk Christmas tree.
♥ On Christmas day, we went out to eat dim sum for brunch with the fam bam. My hubby bear and I visited my parent's house and gave them the second ham we had for them to cook. Then later that night we watch the Aquaman movie with the family again.
Then the last few days of 2018, three of my closest friends wanted to have a last-minute post-Christmas dinner and secret Santa gift-giving. We ate at My China inside the Bloomingdale's Mall and went for dessert at Naya House in Geary. I was happy to spend some time with them since I have been busy with my work schedule.
Well, that's all for the year of 2018...
There are some moments in my life this year that I felt so blessed and thankful for. I get to travel twice this year with my hubby bear and my closest friends, enjoyed three different types of interactive museums throughout the year, and I got married this year.
I am looking forward to the year 2019. A more promising life-changing event will happen soon and exciting new adventures ahead of us.
See you guys in 2019!!!

♥ Around the beginning of July, I finally meet Ed's extended family and oh yes, he has tons of relatives. We were invited to his Auntie's 70th Birthday and I was surprised to see all his family there. They spoke more in Spanish rather than Mandarin which is surprisingly amazing to me.
♥ So I have seen a lot of people on facebook going to this newly opened Filipino Street Food called Toto's Grill Restaurant down in Hayward. I have been meaning to go there since it opened but I have been busy with my work. So one time I had a free day off with my chinito bear and we decided to check it out. He loved the concept of grilling your own food. My chinito bear is a foodie so no wonder he likes this kind of restaurant.
♥ Then another facebook related, I stumble upon this up-coming event called the 50 shade of Charcoal Festival in Soma Street food Park. I sorta force my chinito bear to go with me at this event. It was our first time going to this kind of event and I was surprised of all the food they come up with activated charcoal food. I love the dole whip float because it reminded me of the time we went to Dole Plantation in Hawaii this year.
