As we bid farewell to 2024 and warmly welcome 2025, we reflect on the joyful moments of the past year and look forward to what lies ahead.
Last night, we stayed up late with the whole family to celebrate the arrival of the new year. Our New Year's Eve dinner was a feast to remember, featuring a delicious spread of salad, jumbo shrimp, steaks, corn, mashed potatoes, and gravy as a side sauce.
To make the night even more special, we enjoyed authentic Coca-Cola from Mexico, known for its unique taste, and indulged in Filipino sticky rice for dessert. It was a perfect combination of flavors that brought us all closer together as we ushered in the new year.
✨️Setting intentions, not just resolutions 🙏
Over the years, I have often written down my New Year’s resolutions, jotting down a list of what I want to accomplish that year. Somehow, one unfortunate event or a single bad day ruins my momentum, and I find myself stuck in an endless cycle of not continuing with what I set out to achieve. I always end up feeling disappointed or lacking motivation, which leads to depressive thoughts and feelings about myself.
This year, I want to start using the word “intentions” more than “resolutions.” Intentions have more focus, meaning, and commitment, guiding me in better ways to stay on track. Intentions help me stay present and adaptable.
For example, instead of declaring, "I'm back to full-time blogging," I need to shift my mindset to, "I will write to document my memories and moments in life." This approach will help me gradually change my intentions and stay motivated throughout the new year.
✨️Encourage New Beginnings🎐
Here's to new adventures, challenges, fresh starts, and celebrating a three decade of milestones in my life. I'm looking forward to two major trips with our toddler and an event my family will be guesting and celebrating towards the end of the new year. One of the trip will be one of the first decade milestone of my relationship with my husband. Second trip will be just celebrating someone's big birthday bash in March.
Also, I will have a procedure that will gradually change my appearance for the next two years. At the end of January, I will attending a concert with one of my closest friends and this will be my first time attending to a concert like this. Low key, I am thrilled.
✨️Final Thoughts✨️
The new year is a time to let go of bad habits and create new ones. Starting over does not mean I will change my entire life overnight. I need to focus on my intentions and take consistent actions to achieve my intentions for this year.
HAPPPY 2025!
May it bring us peace, growth, and endless possibilities.
