Last year, my hubby informed me that his company would be holding a "Bring Your Kids to Work" day. They had planned a variety of fun activities for the kids, including a movie screening, breakfast, and lunch. This event would also mark our first visit to my husband's new workplace, as his company had recently moved to a new building. Naturally, I was somewhat excited to see what the new building was like. Beyond that, as an adult yearning to reconnect with my inner child, I felt genuinely thrilled about the whole experience.
🌟Creating Memorable Experiences for our toddler at his Dad's work 🏀
They put a spared out section areas for kids to enjoy like movie inside the auditorium with free popcorn, gaming room, face painting, free ice cream booth, catered lunch for employees and kids to eat.
Because of our toddler's curiousity, we let him walk around freely to explore the set up they had that day. He was so happy holding the free balloons they provided.
Our toddler enjoyed walking around the roofdesk patio and he was playing this giant connect all-4 game set in front of the auditorium. He did not want to leave it alone. I knew he had a blast that day.
🌟Workplace Spaces🌟
He showed us where he works, and my toddler had an absolute blast touching everything on my husband's desk, from his keyboard to his stack of sticky notes. After exploring his workstation, we toured various parts of the office. We visited the supply rooms, meeting rooms, and even the free spaces where employees could book a room for private work or discussions. My husband also took us to see the gym, the small auditorium, the kitchen and dining area, and the barista station. I couldn't resist grabbing a soy chai latte while we were there—it was a delightful treat.

Of course, my husband also made sure to take us to his favorite snack bar in the building. He proudly showed us the spot where he picks up the snacks he often brings home after work. It was fascinating to see how much thought and care his workplace put into creating such a welcoming and functional environment for employees and their families.
✨Reflecting on the Experience✨
Although it was a short period of time, I felt like the whole experience of "Bring Your Kids to Work" day was a fun and exciting first-time experience for both of us. It gave us a glimpse into a big part of my husband's daily life and allowed us to appreciate the environment he works in.
It was a great opportunity to see where my husband works and to finally put a face to the coworker he often mentions when he gets home or talks about his day at work. Meeting his colleagues and seeing how they interacted with him made me feel proud of the relationships he has built there.
Additionally, it was heartwarming to see how much effort the company put into creating such a welcoming and family-friendly event. It truly made us feel valued and included, even though we were just visitors for the day. Experiences like this not only brought us closer as a family but also helped me better understand and connect with my husband's professional world.
Hoping they will have one of this event again this year 💖
