2025 #8: The Essence of Joy 🌱3 Reading a new book

✨️NAP TIME πŸ‘Ά= TIME TO READ A BOOK πŸ“–πŸ”–

One of my goals this year was to read at least three books. However, I must admit that I am a master of procrastination. I often find myself seeking activities that bring me temporary peace of mind, which I sometimes mistake for productivity. This year, I am striving to break free from the habit of procrastination. My goal is to gain knowledge that will help me grow and better understand why I think and feel the way I do. There are moments when I struggle to explain myself to others or feel misunderstood, which can be frustrating and isolating.

I chose this book for two main reasons. First, the author is someone I’ve followed on Instagram for years. Their posts, often filled with thought-provoking quotes and notes, always resonate deeply with me. Whenever I see a new update from them, I feel a sense of connection to the ideas they share.

The second reason I picked this book is the title: How to Stop Breaking Your Own Heart. The title alone holds so much meaning for me. It prompted me to reflect on why we sometimes sabotage ourselves emotionally, even when we know it’s not the right thing to do. Why do we choose paths that lead to heartache, despite being aware of the consequences? This is something I genuinely want to understand.

I highly recommend this book. So far, I’ve read half of book already, and it’s incredibly easy to read while also being deeply insightful. It guides you in understanding your emotions and offers valuable perspectives that can help you on your journey of self-awareness and growth.
