2025 #15 : HIGHLIGHTS ๐Ÿ—“ | APRIL PHOTO DUMP ๐Ÿ“ธ

A Month of Adventures, Family, Unexpected Health Issues, and New Beginnings

April was a whirlwind of moments—some joyful, some unexpected, but all deeply meaningful. It was a month of packing, traveling, celebrating, and even a bit of navigating life’s curveballs.

As the month began, I found myself deep in luggage mode, prepping for a trip back to the Philippines. Alongside all the usual travel essentials, I carefully picked out goods for my relatives, eager to bring a little slice of home with me. There’s always something special about returning to one’s roots, especially with gifts in hand.

Early April was all about firsts. My little family and I visited Happy Hollow, San Jose Zoo for the first time, and watching my baby boy’s excitement was pure magic. He rode every ride with wide-eyed wonder, soaking in the thrill of movement and adventure. His very own “boba” moment was the cherry on top—okay, technically avocado puree without the pearls, but still a moment of pure joy.

Mid-April was for tradition. We attended the Annual Japanese Cherry Blossom Festival in San Francisco—our little one’s second time, but a whole new experience compared to last year. He explored more this time—petting dogs, enjoying kid-friendly activities, and winning small prizes that made his eyes light up. The same weekend, we took him to a local carnival, where he hopped on the carousel and car rides, giggling with excitement. Seeing the world through his eyes makes every moment feel fresh and unforgettable.

Later in the month, I got the chance to reconnect with old coworkers and indulge in a feast for the senses. A food show invitation led me to sample new products—cheeses, breads, oils, salami, and decadent desserts. Each bite was a discovery, and it reminded me how much food brings people together, just like old friendships do.

April also had its unexpected turn. For the first time, I had to visit the ER for severe stomach pains—something I’ve been enduring for years. Finally, I got answers, and though surgery is in my future, having clarity is a relief. It’s a reminder that sometimes, taking care of yourself needs to be the priority.

Closing out the month on a high note, RV and I officially wrapped up recording our first and second podcast episodes! It’s happening—we’re launching in June, and I couldn’t be more excited. Stay tuned, because this new adventure is just getting started.

April was a mix of laughter, love, challenges, and forward momentum. Through the ups and downs, I’m grateful for the moments that made me pause, reflect, and appreciate the journey. Until next month—here’s to whatever surprises and joys May has in store!
