A flight to LAS VEGAS ✈️
I know it's only been the month of May, and I am already in my second trip of the year was on the books. This one, though, was special. A family getaway, celebrating not one, but two birthdays—my husband’s and my sister-in-law’s. The perfect excuse to pack bags, board a plane, and chase some sunshine together.
Our destination? Las Vegas. Bright lights, endless energy, and the kickoff point for a new adventure.
But the real journey would begin after touchdown. The plan? A road trip from Vegas through the heart of the desert, winding into the stunning landscapes of Utah to be with extended family. Red rocks, open skies, and the promise of quality time awaited them.
There was just one extra twist: this would be their first real road trip with their toddler. A new milestone for the whole crew. Snacks were packed, playlists prepared, and they were cautiously optimistic… but let’s be real: a toddler plus road trip equals the ultimate wild card.
"Wish us luck," with my nervous smile, buckling in the car seat and crossing fingers for long naps and zero meltdowns.
No matter what, it would be memorable—because birthdays, family, and a few unpredictable moments on the road always made for the best stories.
